No More Ice Cubes For Lacey

So with my recent root canal problems, I have to give up anything cold or hot. This includes any ice cubes. Anyone that knows me, knows that this is a very sad day. I now have to drink room temp. water. I'm really not happy about this. Not to mention the terrible pain that I'll be in until next year when our insurance will pay for more dental work. Poor Poor Poor Lacey :(

Worst assignment in the WORLD

Leah has been in an outrage for a while now and her current outrage is that I assigned her the worst assignment/consequence in the world.
What could it possibly be? - you ask
To write 10 things about each family member of what she appreciates about them.
Right now she is stuck on three and just needs one little hint.

Yep it is an outrage to be the daughter of the worst and meanest mom in the world.

Airline Tickets

So a couple of days ago Chris and I were researching flights to New Orleans for our 10th anniversary. We found great tickets for $240 each round trip.. We didn't act right away because we thought we still had a few days.. We were stupid.. I started looking yesterday and found that they had gone up to $350.. Yikes.. It had only been 2 days.. So I started scrambling and panicking. Every time I refreshed the page they went up.. So I finally bought at $400 each instead of 240.. Oh, well.. At least that portion is taken care of and we're locked in. I did by with Travelocity, so there is that guarantee. So, we'll just eat less while we are there. :( But at least we're going. We're very excited about that.

Damn Phish

My outrage is that Phish is having a three day festival in Indio THREE DAYS.
The reasons that this is an outrage is as follows;
1) it is close enough to go to therefor making it obtainable (why could they not have just kept it on the east making it less of a temptation)
2) we have three kids therefor making it unobtainable
3) the tickets are expensive making it well..... expensive
4) it falls right next to my 30th birthday making it even more of a reason to go
5) it falls right on Halloween which would make us evil parents for ditching our kids on one of their holidays.
So ya it is an outrage that phish is holding a three day festival within our reach but out of our grasp.

I blame it on the LA people...

Ian and Josh went to collect wood from Marc's special firewood spot on Thursday and was stopped by a ranger who told him that he needed a permit to gather wood. We have been getting our campfire wood here for years...Ian said that he thought that it was allowed if you were camping and only getting campfire wood. So the ranger backed down a bit and told him not to take too much...But that he needs a permit next time. Yikes! maybe what he really wants is to make money selling those bundles from the campground host for $5.00 each...

Stupid Airports

Chris was supposed to be coming home tonight after TWO very long weeks and his flight was late making him miss his other flight, which was the last flight into Bakersfield.. He also tried to run to make a flight to Burbank, but also missed that.. So now he's stuck in Phoenix for the night. He did get ahold of Casey and Gorden and is going to spend the night with them.. so at least there's that. It will be nice for them to visit and for Chris to see there place.

Hopefully this is the end of the upsets and he can come home tomorrow..

At a loss

My camera broke and we are going camping next week and I just want to cry!!! oh and I am outraged that my one personal (outside of my clothes for now) possession would break on me the absolute nerve of cannon.
